Agreed, Sport+ for autocross is a blast!

Almost always in sport, unless on the highway.

Sport Plus on 7MT. Shifts are smoother. I can't tell the difference in the steering and throttle response as much as some of the others, but given that this is a pure sports car, why would anyone not want the full experience. I get that on the PDK, sport plus can be annoying if in auto mode.
I will say that the suspension stays on "normal" unless I'm on the highway or in the canyons where I activate "sport chassis".

At 38k miles, I never drove without the sport and sport suspension on, until last week.

I went on a 400-mile drive to Maine and decided to drive without sport or suspension. In short, it was like driving a new car. Besides getting 30.5 mpg, I fell in love with the 991 all over again and drove back home in the same mode. It was a nice change and served to remind me of what an incredible car we all have

Yeah the best part about the mileage is the jaw dropping effect it has on people. Between the generous frunk and rear seat storage and 30+ mpg (on an almost 17 gallon tank no less) it's pretty funny watching some peoples reactions.

Sport mode: every time as soon as temps are warm. Sport plus on the street: hardly ever except for the launch feature.

PDK car: Normal 1% (when I forget!), Sport 98%, Sport Plus 1% (when I feel like doing the shifting.)
As others have mentioned, Sport Plus on the street in auto mode is pretty ridiculous. But in manual mode, it's a blast! Tons of fun even at speeds that won't get you a ticket.

Is there a difference in performance between sport and sport plus if you’re doing the shifting?

Isn’t the difference between the two only in auto, when it shifts itself at redline?
