I have, and as much as I wish this was a sick Halloween joke, it might be true for the future, but those horsepower figures, impossible. I'm sure that current 552 hpTurbo S owners would love to see a "regular" 530hp Carrera S keep up with them or even be faster. And pricing a whole new series of models, I can't see how this would work financially or even logically. I can't even afford one because being 19 in college, and this honestly sucks.
Modern turbochargers=lazy power for the masses
I wonder if N/A 911 prices will go up because of this..
It might be a rumor though instead of being factual, at least I'm hoping.

Carrera downsized to 2.9l and boosted to 400hp, maybe.
Carrera S staying at 3.8l and boosted to Turbo power levels, no way.
Actually rethinking this a bit and considering Porsche's power increase history, if there is any truth to this new 2.9l turbo motor, it's going in the S and the Carrera keeps the na 3.4l.

Does that mean this is wrong? No. Does that mean this is right? No.

Has anyone currently talking to their Porsche dealer heard that Porsche is "cutting production" on the 911? I've heard that from a few So Cal Porsche dealers recently both saying that they had a limited allocation. If that is true - is Porsche just taking less orders so that they can release a 2015.5 (possibly announced at LA Auto show with the new FI technology) or are they cutting production as one LA area dealer told me because they don't want the 911 to be a mass car and wan't it to be limited?

So the question remains for someone like me to I pull the trigger on a well discounted 2015 order 991 CabS order or see what the changes are for the '15.5 '16? I imagine if the cars go FI there will be a lot of people that will see the last model year NA cars as a desirable.

Not before all 911s are turbo'd I can't. That's not gonna happen. I've got at the minimum, another 3-4 years of engineering college hell, and by then 911 prices will have gone up so high that the thoughts of obtaining one would be disappointing. 3.2 Carreras are now above $30k, 964s are $30k+, 993s...why even bother with those? All that will be left is the 997 and that unimpressive and dull 996.
