My slightly used 2014 C4S cabriolet arrived in the wee hours of the morning, around 1 am to be exact. That suited me fine because I am working the night shift this week, and finished up around midnight. I got home just in time to meet the delivery truck in a local supermarket parking lot.
Purchased last week from International Autos in Waukesha, WI, I have been anxiously awaiting its arrival. The original delivery truck was said to have broken down, so a rescue truck was sent, and the new driver asked me if he could drop it off in the middle of the night. Of course I said yes!
When he lowered the ramp I was happy to see my car was first in line at the back of the truck on the top shelf, directly above a brand new BMW i8.
Anyway, this car is beautiful. A little dirty and dusty from 4 days in a truck, but I do have a full detail scheduled. In the meantime I am driving it too much to notice that it needs washing. At some point I need to sleep.
I'm not going to pretend this is some great achievement, or the culmination of a lifelong dream, but it did cost more than the house I grew up in! I wish my dad was still around to see it, he loved cars too and took me to the auto show every year, but he was pretty much stuck driving vans and other assorted family friendly vehicles for logistical and budgetary purposes.
I find driving it to be simply amazing, but then all of you people already knew that. This is my first Porsche! But not my last.
I'll post some pictures when I can get it cleaned up.

Makes for a great story -- delivered under the cloak of darkness! Congrats and enjoy. A truly great car to drive. I look forward to some pics.
Ps. My car is being delivered in a day or two -- but not at night!
