Default 1st Service - Positive Dealer Experience

When my car reached about 5,200 miles the Change Oil indicator came on - telling me it was time for its 1st service.

I called my dealership, Performance Porsche in Chapel Hill NC, and scheduled the service.

When I got there they had a loaner 911 S waiting for me. The check-in process took less than 10 minutes, and before I knew it I was back on the road.

I had asked for the car to be ready at 3pm, but got a call from the service writer at noon - saying the car was ready and I could pick it up anytime.

When I came to pick it up they explained what they did:
- oil/filter change
- 27 point inspection
and addressed 2 campaign items

When I got the bill they explained they had run a $25 labor coupon and a $25 parts coupon on line - and without me asking they applied that to the cost of the service.

I was out the door in about 10 minutes.

The final net bill was $210.

A very positive experience - so positive that I thought it warranted sharing.

Good job. Very fair price, too. 4 cents a mile. Rock on.

Wish your dealer was closer to me. My local dealer quoted me $510 just for an oil change!

I'm glad to read positive dealer experiences. It's only fair and good to give credit when credit is due.
Fair price and attitude. Congrats to that dealer!

Nice to hear a positive dealer report from someone besides myself.

This also reinforces my experience that Hendrick dealerships seem to be OK with service. It's their sales techniques that I don't care for... but I don't want to go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay OT here.

FWIW I use Leith in Cary since that's where I live and buy my cars, but I can certainly drive to CH to save a couple of hundred dollars!
