My Comparison of the 991 911 vs. F80 M3

Great post Money 2536! Very thoughtful and insightful. I would love to know your thoughts and preferences on E92 vs. F82 Instead of vs. 991
Full disclosure: I am actually trying to decide between E90 and F80 myself. For a while I had both a 997.2 4 GTS (still do) and an AW M3 E90 and loved them both for different reasons. Unfortunately had to let go one of them and... the E90 went
Now I am in the position to add again. I am between new F80 vs CPO E90. For many reasons I am inclined to go E90. Your thoughts ?

It's great to have someone who actually has spent time in both cars take time to provide feedback.
I've owned M3's in the past and have contemplated returning to BMW. I just enjoy the 911 experience so much more. Two great cars... but different.
Thanks for taking the time to write this up.

Money... I really enjoyed your write-up and pictures. I just got a 2015 M4 cpe, and was commenting to my wife, while it is a good car, it is no substitute for a 911, and mine is an old 997. The Porsche key is still the first one I reach for. I have been trying to decide whether to replace mine, which I really love with a 991 GTS.
I am kind of scared now about the 'hesitation' issue. I would be sick to let mine go and have an issue like this with the new one. What do you think?

Thanks Jim. This is such a tough one. I'd like to tell you it will be fine and your car won't have it. I think a reasonable solution can be to wait a bit and get a used one with 5,000 miles on it. That way you could test drive it to ensure that it doesn't have any issues. I do think Porsche is going to figure this out. It just might be a while.
