check light
Had the check of cooling system yellow light come on last week at 17K miles. I remember reading about the change over valve and vacuum leak issue before, but didn't notice any cooling temp or performance change issues. So off to the dealer...
Code P1433. vacuum leak. Off with the under body panel, spoiler, fans, rear bumper and tail lights to check each change over valve until faulty one found and replaced.
So a lot of time and labor for a prone to fault simple part (approx. $50 part). There have been several revisions of the part. I got part "C" but have read elsewhere that there may be newer ones up to part "F"? Might have been nice to replace all of them since they were already exposed and in-hand, but I didn't want to go out of pocket for the repair and will just stick with any future warranty coverage.
My 2013 C4S was not part of any change over valve replacement campaign.
Otherwise nice work by the dealership. Got all the service campaigns up to date including nice new covers for the door arresters, PDDC and instrument cluster software updates.

Had the same issue. The dealer had their own addition to the fix, can't remember exactly what it was but the part is too short basically and vibrates off. They probably just zip tied it.
