They are a great wheel, very light and strong, and HRE's customer service is amazing ... I curbed a wheel a while back, they took the wheel back and repaired it essentially for the cost of the shipping!

That's great to hear. I Really like the HRE style. Did you get crest center caps?

Because the GT3 uses Centre Locking, you reuse the Porsche locks which come with a "GT3" cap... but I believe that the HRE 5-lug wheels are sized to accept the Porsche center caps.

Correct. You can have your HREs cut to accept the factory caps instead of the HRE caps.

Assuming you can find caps to match the color and finish of the wheel.

Larry,

Your car looks awesome.

HRE used to have a really nice solution that was billet with the color crest, unfortunately they can no longer offer that solution.

The best option today is to have your factory caps color matched.

I managed to pick up a set of black OEM centerlocks when I specced the HREs and its a pretty good match ... then I got a new set of black *and* silver centerlocks when Porsche did the recall ...

I agree getting someone to color match the OCM caps is the way to go!

Been thinking of getting some new shoes.... dealer scratched my CL wheels on my TT. They will be fixing after winter, but thought it would be nice to upgrade my summer tires with some wheels. I have CL and PCCB.

I received some pricing for 20" HRE P101 - approx 10K.

20" Race Tech forged Track Spec 5 - Approx 5K.

Having a hard time spending 10K on a set of wheels....

Am I missing something....

Didn't want to start a new thread.

My favorite aftermarket wheel. Only one that would tempt me to ever replace my sport technos.

Wheels that are built without compromise are hard to come by. Wheels that are built to our level of perfection that look as good as the P101's do are even harder to come by. So if you're the kind of person who doesn't want to compromise, wants the best of the best and simply will not settle for anything less, the P101 would not be a bad place to start. Here's some more photos to help, and feel free to ask me any questions to help the process!

How much did you pay for your Rolex? Lots more metal in four wheels than in a Submariner! Is a set worth $10k? Is a car worth $ 100k? Ask a Camry owner if he would pay that much for a car and watch the reaction.....

I'm on my second set of HRE wheels and to me they are worth it's much as a Porsche is worth what it costs.

Now one thing you might want to do is call Wheel Enhancement in California. They do a lot of HRE's and once in a while they have a set on deal. It may not be the specific style you want or color, but then they might be $6k for the set instead of $ 10k.

As the Dr. said, not worth skimping on quality when it comes to wheels and these cars.

HRE and some few other select wheel manufactures are the way to go. I've read the stories of going the cheap route, which most of the time end up costing more $$ in the long run rather than doing it right the first time.
