My 1st Porsche - 2015 991 Carrera
Hello all, this is my first Porsche so I decided to share a few pics. As you can see it is a 2015 991 Carrera 2 Black on Black, I have always been a Corvette guy but decided to try something different and boy am I glad I did! I can't get enough of this car, what an absolute thrill to drive! My local Porsche dealer traded another dealer to get this 991 equipped the way I wanted - PDK Trans, Glass Slide/Tilt Sunroof, 20" Carrera Wheels w/ Colored Porsche Crests, SportDesign Wheel, Power Sport Seats, & Bose Audio. I plan to upgrade the exhaust in the spring.

Welcome to the fold!
Black is always a beauty.
Be prepared, most people love their 911 so much they want "more more more"
You will find it quite different from a Corvette (I have owned both). The sound and the feel of the torque are the 2 biggest differences. I didn't mention handling because the 911 is so much more nimble you cannot even compare them.
Congrats!!

One you do a Porsche, you will never go back to a Corvette. I was a die-hard Corvette guy, had a '57, then a 63' Split Window Coupe and a '69 in the past century. Got a ride in a 911, and that was the end of the plastic cars.

Thanks for the quick comments! I have really enjoyed the handling, doesn't even compare to the 2007 Z06 that I had! I have had every generation of Corvette except the 1st and just owning this 911 for a couple of weeks makes me want more!

Congrats! The 911 is a fantastic machine, enjoy. These cars do hook you; now my wife has a cayenne and I drive a Panamera daily, and my 911 is for fun. My wife used to think I was nuts, now she won't even consider another brand.

Just curious, how many 911s are there in Fargo?
And, of course, congrats on the new car.

Not sure, I know Valley Imports who is the local Porsche dealer sells about 50 Porsches annually including all models, with that being said I know a few business friends of mine who have them whom I visited with prior to purchasing this one. I have seen a few driving around, it would be interesting to find out for sure!

Very nice, congrats! I've owned numerous Corvettes and 911s, and the plastic wonder is much more bang for the buck, but it really can't hold a candle to the driving experience of the Porsche. Enjoy!
