Default PCCB TSB Rotor Replacement

I bought a '15 TTS a little over a week ago and yesterday noticed a clicking noise coming from the front end under any moderate to heavy braking. The clicking was very audible and would reduce in frequency as the car slowed, suggesting that it was some sort of rotational noise. The car has 150 miles on it and until yesterday I had never heard the clicking.

I took the car in to the dealer today and turns out there is a TSB for faulty clips that hold the two piece assembly together. The fix - two new rotors that must be ordered from Germany.

Just thought I would share.

Yeah--word is that while disconcerting, the bulletin states that there is no safety concern.

This has been an issue also discussed in the 991TT/s forums.

I saw my tech doing this recall last month. The rotors are HUGE.
