Default North Georgia Mountain Porsche Drives

On Saturday our PCAR Touring Group did a 170 mile run in North Georgia with 32 Porsches. Atlanta > Chatsworth > ElliJay > Blue Ridge > Morganton > Dahlonega (Wolf Mountain Winery for Lunch & Wine). We do these runs every 6-8 weeks. One of our guys shared his GoPro video on a stretch of GA 52/2 between Chatsworth and Ellijay, GA. Road runs through part of the National Forest in North GA. Notice the sound of the group leaving the MAPCO station in Chatsworth, with 32 sport exhausts turned on, there was quite the sweet sound of Porsches in the North Georgia Mountains on Saturday.

Check out the video....

I plan to go there for a fall weekend as those are the nearest mountains to Florida...
How bad is law enforcement these roads? Do you have to constantly worry about being even just slightly over the posted speed limit?

How much traffic is in the area, holding you up? RVs and trucks?

Thanks!

Yes, from ATL it was 400 > 9 > 136 > 411 > 52

Most of the time speeding tickets are not a problem, mainly because of the winding/twisty roads do not allow you to gain much speed. In the fall I would drive up there only mid-week. This is because every mini-van in the Southeast is up there for the fall tree colors, it is a traffic jam on fall weekends. How many days will you be up here? Send me a PM if you want other suggested roads to drive in the area.
