Strange Oil Warning
My oil warning light goes on now and says:
Change Oil In
6600 miles
27 days
I only have 3300 miles on it and got it in April... What do you guys think is going on?
Maybe the car really wants me to go on a few cross country road trips very quickly

Sounds like your car is approaching 1 year since it has been placed in service. So oil needs to be changed at 10k or one year.

Plus there is a instrument cluster service bulletin to reflash the computer because of some computer gremlin.

There is a software update to correct premature service notifications.
Ignore the message or take it in to your dealer to update the software.
I recommend you do the latter..

"WE02" is the campaign number. If you call your service department they can let you know if it has already been performed on your car before you picked it up.

My glitch has been the opposite. Mine says service in 32,300 miles or 11/2017. I have about 6k miles in 9 months. Ordered car, in service punched the day I picked it up in December 2013.

I think if you scroll down, you will see the more current service notifications. For some reason the most current is at the bottom of the list, the farthest out is at the top.

That's what the tech said when I had it in for the coolant failure but he was unable to scroll on the screen. supposedly the update fixes this.

Can the oil change warning only be removed my the dealer? Mine has come on in the dash, but I will be changing the oil myself. I hate to give them a reason to charge me!

I'm thinking of getting one just to have for my long term ownership needs.
