Default Technology Update

Just got an email to bring my 991 in for a "technology update". Those cars with very recent service have already gotten it. The service rep said it was an information display update. Has anyone gotten it so far? And, if so, what does it actually update? I'm getting the update next week, but am impatient to know. Maybe it gets rid of the upshift indicator in Sport/Sport Plus??? fingers crossed

It may be the instrument cluster update. I had it done when I did my service about a month ago, and I can't tell any difference.

The only difference I noticed was they reset some of my display preferences :-/.

Had mine done last month. The only difference I see is I no longer get the PSM message "Chassis in Sport mode". Took the car back this week and they re-loaded the update, but still no message. The car still goes into "Sport" or "Sport Plus" and I get the message "Chassis in normal mode" when I turn either off. I also get the Sport or Sport Plus light in the steering wheel spoke.

I got that update recently too. The only change I noticed was the temps were slightly different (at least the indicated temps). About -5 degrees for water and about +5 degrees for oil compared to pre update. I'm sure there were other things updated but I'm a PCM/multifunction display minimalist so who knows.

So the service bulletin updates for my car:
1) A tube that is involved with the exhaust valves replaced
2) A rear door panel/piece replaced
3) ECU flash

cheers
