First PCar - 2015 Porsche 991 C4S Agate Gray
Just took delivery of my new 2015 C4S in Charleston SC. I will post some pictures over the next 2 days because its raining here today.
So, I took advantage of the rain (and the 4 wheel drive system) and took it out for dinner at a local restaurant (20 miles away)....
First thoughts... as my first P-Car, let me just say.... Wow. What a car! The weather didn't cooperate but that didn't stop my partner, a friend and I from taking this car out on the town. The back seat is more like a bench for small children or short people or possibly amputees. Our friend is 6 feet 6" and my partner is 5 foot 10". One sat up front on each leg of our trip. Extricating them from the back seat was priceless and should only be attempted with the jaws of life and your local fire department! Lets face it, there won't be anyone back there ever again.
The cars 4 wheel drive system is seamless and the transition of power from rear to front is seamless (the screen on the display is amusing but really unnecessary). It feels much much wider then the C2S that I test drove and since I have never driven a 4S before, it was an interesting experience. I felt very confident in it and even in sport mode in the rain, it had no trouble accelerating briskly from a dead stop. Keeping the RPM under 4000 was fun and I think the 2000 mile break in period will be torture. The PDK is spot on and without hesitation (except for when there is wheel slip and the car can't put the power down - very brief periods). The engine with the sport exhaust is quite loud. After reading Money's journal on here, I was worried that I may need an aftermarket exhaust. After todays drive, that won't be the case but I will drive with it on ALL THE TIME. The BOSE sound system is sufficient for what we will ever need and I love the PCM integration. Blue tooth is easy to use, but the PCM buttons are small and difficult to navigate. I think this will just take some time to get used to (while not driving or in the rain and traffic).
My friend has a 335i BMW and his exact quote was "BMW may advertise that they are the ultimate driving experience, but this is the REAL ultimate driving experience." My partner said, it just looks bad-a**. I think it was worth the 3 month wait and that it really is an incredible piece of engineering. I will try to get some pictures uploaded over the next 48 hours although I am working this weekend.

My 991 Targa 4S (Agate) is due in Sept. You just made me very anxious for it's arrival.
Nice story, love hearing your satisfaction, and congrats! Bring on the pics!

You drove it in the rain??
Did it get wet?
You should swap tips with that other owner who's driving his 911 into (wait for it) ... Manhattan!
Congrats, and welcome to the 4S club.

Lol.
No doubt. Not even as good as the posts from the 12 year old mercurial owners though. They have incredibly strong opinions on everything from paddles to mezgers when they honestly only have experience with Cheerios and Transformers.

How could any adult sit back there and think it was cool unless they had their arms wrapped around the seat to steer?
Find a twisty road and you can keep the rpms down and have a lot of fun in the C4S.

Sorry for the delay... I have no control over the weather. This is an Agate Grey metallic with Black/Platinum full leather interior C4S. I will post photos of us in the back seat in the next week or so! I think this will prove just how practical this car really is! ;p
