Default Anybody know what this?

It was hanging off the muffler - I assume it's a clamp? I didn't see one on the other side.

Looks like a muffler strap or cat strap.

Yep, I guess there were two and both came off? I wonder how they were secured? I just upgraded to PSE, maybe both holding screws snapped?

Muffler strap. Just installed the awe switchback today and had to remove those. Looks like you're missing the bolt. Take it to the dealer, one of your mufflers is not strapped to the car. It won't fall off but you should get it fixed.

Might not even be yours. Maybe you picked it up off the road. Should have a Porsche part number on it.

Anything loose? Rattling??

They are the exhaust straps that wrap around the mufflers of the center section. They aren't really necessary other than to keep the center section from vibrating. They probably didn't tighten them enough on install. You can see the bolts in my photo below.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all the help! I'm off tomorrow so I'll take it to the dealership and have some coffee while they fix it.

I drove down the shore this weekend but didn't bottom out. I was just inspecting water spots on the engine cover thinking should I just get the 3 inch Griots DA or Rupes 4 inch and then I stepped back and saw it dangling. Thanks again. Black car, lot of work...

Hana is Czech. Maybe you picked her up on accident and she was hanging on?

I had to put new exhaust clamps on my M3 every 3 months or so doing only a few hundred miles in between due to low ride height & rough roads as the old ones would dislodge.
