I've been browsing this forum and thought I'd join now that I'll be a fellow owner shortly.

I just ordered a 2015 911 Carrera 4s Targa with the following options:

Agate / Black
PDK
Premium Pkg w/ 14 way power sport seats
Power Steering Plus
20" Carrera Classic Wheels
Colored Wheel Caps
Multi Function Steering Wheel
Luggage Net
Sirius

Delivery will be in August. This is my first 911, so it should be fun.

Look forward to sharing pictures once I receive it.

Welcome.

It sounds like it's going to be a beautiful build!

I admire the guys who can sit behind the configuration, order a car, then wait for it for months on end.

I just couldn't do it and bought a car off the floor that checked 90% of my boxes and dove right in!

Congrats and we are all looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of the Targa!

LOL, Marcus. I am the opposite. I could not imagine ordering a car like this with any trade-offs or compromises and was glad to wait the months for my special order. No regrets, but it is a looong wait...

Welcome! I love the Targa and look forward to seeing pictures once you take delivery. As you no doubt are aware - without pictures, it never happened.

The new Targa looks so awesome!

I use to own a 1985 Carrera Targa.

You are going to be up and down so very excited!
I can't wait to see your pictures!

A big congratulations! and welcome!

Thanks fellas.

One question: Looks like I forgot to add the rear camera with the parking sensors. I'm going to add the sensors for sure, but do I really need the camera? My dealer told me today that if you get the sensors without the camera, you get an audible warning when there is an obstruction, and a visual of the 911 on the display. Is this good enough, or should I get the camera too?

I have another vehicle that has a whole slew of front, rear, and side cameras, and I never use any except the rear one sometimes. I also have another vehicle that only has audibles and no backup cameras, and I find that ok. I know the Porsche is really wide and perhaps has limited visibility, so is the backup camera something I need?

Congrats on the order! Good luck with the wait, and look forward to seeing pics. If you're going to get the Park Assist sensors anyway, I would definitely recommend adding the camera. If you're used to a back-up camera, you'll find the sensors pretty lame, IMHO.

I would have had the camera if it had been available when I got my car. In 2016 it will be standard equipment on all cars mandated by US law.

Ok, just added the camera with the sensors. Also added the Porsche crests on the headrests. That's it, no more changes. I don't want to tinker with perfection.
