Default Cleaning dust and lint off the convertible top

Something I have found very useful for moving dust, small pieces of plant material and lint from cleaning cloths is the sticky roller that you can buy from any dry cleaner that is used for removing lint from clothes. You just roll it all over the top and the sticky surface pulls off all the fluff and dust. An alternative would be to take a piece of packing tape and dab the top with the sticky side down.

Buy 'em at Target and Walmart.

But would this not affect the repellent layer? why not just a dusting brush? I keep a small dusting brush in the car in case I need to parked under trees, I brush the top before driving topples

It does not effect the protective layer. Where you going to store a brush? Not much room for one of those without being seen in the cabin. I don't like junk in my trunk.

I just drive a block for the leaves to blow off, then drop the top.

Never cover a dirty/dusty car. I only use car covers for winter storage.

If you leave your car parked outside for 30 minutes at the moment, there will be a dusting of some sort of pollen or flower part. Picking it up with sticky tape is kinder to the top then scrubbing with a brush and much more effective.

As far as I remember, the owner handbook recommends brushing...
