What is a typical discount on a new 991?
Hi there, I've sold my 997 C2S Cab and I'm ready to get myself a new 991. I live in Southern California and I'd like to hear what percent off the MSRP did other get when they bought their cars. Any info would be appreciated.

Dealers often start discounting new cars on the lot when April rolls around. Some dealerships will discount 7-8% but I wouldn't wait too long -- you might do slightly better on % discount later but it will be with a much less attractive selection pool. If you take a look at the new 2013s that are still available, you'll see what I mean.

I did a custom build at the end of february and negotiated 7% off of list. I think i could have got them to 8% but the advice i had seen on this forum for a custom build was 5% off list so i cant complain
Good luck!

The Republic Of Kalifornia is different than it is here in America, but most of the advice above seems spot-on. I was sworn to secrecy on my deal (an ordered car) but a friend of mine in DC bought a cab off the lot for 8% off last month. It's going to depend on the car and the dealer - how long it's been sitting around, etc. You can get better than 10% off on a 2013 if you don't mind the fact that it's a year old already even though it will be new.
Natch if you can find one you like, going used is almost always smarter financially.
