Default Shift Assist - how to

Can someone please explain the steps that must be taken for the Shift Assist function to work properly? I read the manual but still cannot get this to work.

The shift assist window is visible on my display but the shift assist digital "gauge" does not change to indicate RPM. I have tried with sport plus on and off with no luck.

I assume I am overlooking something obvious and appreciate any input that you can provide. Thank you.

You need to rev it hard before the yellow, red and + sequence begin to show on the display. I can't remember exactly when the display comes alive but somewhere North of 6000

Interesting, thanks JR. I had the same question. I'm still breaking mine in and haven't gotten above 4500, so I haven't seen it light up.

In sport plus she gets pretty close to 8k rpm before the + light (then rev limit) kick in. Sweet sounds

Funny. I wondered about how this worked too, and suspected I needed to be in the higher RPM ranges. In another easy 400 miles I'll be able to find out. Thanks for your post.

So you're saying theres some sort of an arc like thingy that progressively shows how close you are to needing to shift based on how far along the rev band you are?

Yes and they have this other funny digital thing that shows you how fast you are going.

(Thanks to all for the responses - once I get a couple more miles on the car I will test it out at 8k)
