Default Goodbye 991 Hello 997.2

Doing the opposite of most,but after 10 months of 991 ownership. I'm trading for a 2011 997.2 C2S. Reasons?

- this is a good time to trade in as the Canadian $ has dipped in value. which has put a strain on pre owned volume here.

- I'll never own a black car again, God is it beautiful when its clean , but that never lasts long.

- 997 will be more of my DD and with some out of town work I'm going to rack up some km's. Wasn't comfortable doing that kind of mileage on the 991.

- will post some pics over at 997 when I get it tomorrow.

I'll miss you guys

Just curious, but why weren't you comfortable racking up miles in a 991?

Should have bought my 997.2S that I traded in for my 991. It was a low mileage beauty. I believe Pfaff sold it in about a week.

Which one was it? I ended up at Oakville Porsche, Pfaff didn't have anything I wanted to trade for + Oakville was very aggresive in there offer for my car.

Didn"t want a 100,000 km on a $120k car, felt more comfy doing it on a just over $80k car

don't remeber that one, but I understand going after the 911/50

We need a GTA meet and greet.

Or maybe I'm not allowed anymore.

Did Oakville give you a better number on your 991 than Pfaff? How long did you own the 991?
I have had my 991 since July 1st 2013 and I was thinking of trading it to order a new Macan, Pfaff's number left me owing way too much "stupid" tax on the 991.

PM if you can the difference between Pfaff and Oakville?

Bob

wouldn't your net loss to do this trade ( 991 still on the steepest part of depreciation curve ) be as much or more than the lowered future value of a high mileage 991 ..and if so, wouldn't you rather be driving the newer car ?

I've said before, having car ADHD is very expensive. Hope you enjoy your next purchase.

Default me too

I did the same trade.
Sold my 2014 911_ 50 for my 2011 997.2 C4S.
Bought a rare 993 with the leftover $$ and still have $$ left over.
