Default Rear seat heardroom?

My wife and I went to the local dealer today to look at a 991. We were shocked to see that she could not sit in the backseat comfortably due to a lack of headroom and she is only 5 foot 6! She has no problem in a 997 or our 993. Is there more room in a 991 without a sunroof?

As seen in a 911 brochure a long time ago: The back seats are for children or adults for short trips.

There's a backseat? I was wondering what was back there. Huh.

Even my kids don't like sitting in the back seat by choice, but I have had adults back there when there was not a choice and they thought it was okay for a trip of about an hour. I have always thought that the ability to tell your wife its a four seater is the real reason they even make an effort.

And no, the headroom in the front and rear seats is not changed with the sunroof delete option. It can be a handy place to put stuff when the frunk is full too.

Actually, that is exactly why we went to the dealer. We are considering the Cayman S and the 991, but were tending towards the 991 so we could take the kids out in it occasionally. However, our son is 5' 6" now and our daughter will be there soon and you cannot sit back there at that height without hitting your head on the headliner.

buy a Cab , to take friends and family on sunny trips top down ... infinite backseat headroom, and even better, you can easily slip in and out standing bolt upright

and with drivers or passenger seat set comfortably for my almost 6 ft height, I would be able to sit behind either seat easily with knees apart for short runs to shops or eats , if the top is down

in a coupe or the coming coming Targa, anyone over 5 feet 4 tall would not be happy on anything more than a couple miles drive , imo

considered the Macan? I'd like that turbo S model. If my dealer gets one to test drive, I'm in trouble.

Heck with fitting adults. Last week I tried to fit my DOG in the back. Not a happy puppy. Her head was touching the roof, too. She prefers my 993.

I like the Macan but we have an everyday SUV and are looking for a summer car that we can take to dinner and drive etc. The 993 is my Saturday morning car and that's about it.

Not true. Adds about 2.5 -3 inches. I am 6'7" and only fit in a coupe without sunroof. Huge difference. .
