Default Nanoskin Autoscrub

Hi - I was wondering if anyone has experience with this versus clay barring? I ordered it to try out, if I can figure out how to post a picture I will but was just curious if anyone else has tried it?

Thanks!

Yes to nanoskin. I use the 3" scrubber by hand after a DI wash and rinse. I use some dliuted Optimum No Rinse ( the blue liquid) as the lubricant and go to work. I can scrub my 996 Turbo in less than 15 minutes, with a couple rinses of the scrubber in between. It leaves the surface like glass. The secret to "claying" is the lubricant.

IIRC, I paid $49 or so for a starter kit, but they don't seem to sell these any longer.

There are now Nanoskin Autoscrub wash mitts, and a rectangular type applicator along with the 6" pad, which can be used by hand or with a machine.
If your paint is still on the new side, stick with the Fine grade.
YMMV

I haven't used clay for about two years now since switching. You just need to break it in on your glass. Like 2K3 said, the blue fine pads get the job done with less chance of marring the paint than the yellow, more aggressive.

I have the wash mit and sponges, but they don't do quite as good of a job removing everything as using the orbital. I use it with the Glide or ONR.

Found it! Although it is not the "fine" grade mentioned by 2K3 above.

Me personally... I'd rather stick with the clay bar and do it by hand. You can do a lot of damage very quickly with a power buffer/polisher.

Thanks Money!! I'm also going to order a Rupes with blue, green, yellow and white pads. I've been using Menzerna for a few years now and really like it but am also tempted to try the Sonex Polymer Shield based on your experience and advice. Thanks again for all your help!!!
