Default buzzing sound form B-pillar

I have a buzzing sound emanating from the seat belt anchor points when hitting small bumps at higher speeds, anyone else been able to fix this issue?

My seat belt was buzzing on the passenger side and the dealer replaced it under warranty. I'd suggest the same if it's easily reproducible.

Hi, I had the same problem on the driver's side. The dealer took it a part and I think put some padding or something to stop the vibration. It is much better, but not 100% gone.

Does anyone know exactly what the root cause is.. When i push down on the anchor point the sound stops. When I lift the anchor point it is not as effective at stopping the buzzing.

I have the EXACT same issue by the driver side B-pillar. It appeared from nowhere and is perfectly aligned with my left ear.

The cause is our cheap plastic trim (which is only held down with plastic clips) and resonates with the frame. There is simply nothing to dampen the vibration. Buy some felt tape and reposition your trim yourself.

This is not my first 911 but is definitely the WORST rattle plagued, badly put together interior of a Porsche I have owned.

Who is the genius that decided that PLASTIC clips are the way to hold the entire interior of a car together?

I don't think it is the actual trim piece because nothing happens when I push on the cover but when I push not pull the anchor point it stops. If the seat belt needs to be replaced I thinking it might need several stops a the dealership because I don't want to wait for the part to come from germany.

No, the seat belt does not need to be replaced.
The buzzing is the vibration behind the trim.

Unfortunately you not the first and won't be the last to experience this annoyance.

Take it in and they'll probably know exactly what it is...

But they will say.....

"we've never, ever seen a problem like THIS before!"

Gotta love dealerships......

I have the same problem. I even popped off the plastic cover and it still buzzes. I'll have to mention it the next time I take in for service.

yonkers if your trim piece is removed what do you think is vibrating ? the noise in my car can be stopped by pushing the seat belt anchor point . with the trim removed is there something your can push on to stop the noise.

I'm not sure. It's hard to check because it's over my shoulder. I'll see if I can figure it out tomorrow. I had just about given up and decided to live with it until I saw this thread.
