Don't know if 'Champagne' leather is unavailable due to new tanning regulations. Where did you read that? But Leather-to-Sample is available through 'Porsche Exclusive' & you can inquire if a current version of 'Champagne' is available. Problem with L-to-S is that all interior plastic trim (speakers, ventilation, etc) defaults to 'Black' in any custom leather interior. So you live with it in 'Black'...or cover it up with leather for extra $. But it can be done if you don't have a limited budget. Do plan to use your local guy to 'black-out' the Targa roll bar. I don't think that will be a factory option anytime soon! Good luck with that project - it should be a pretty interesting build!

thanks for the tips !
I was thinking 2015 anyway, hoping there will be a factory dark Targa hoop option by then and the updated 918/Macan style multi-function sport steering wheel

Funny because I did just that, bought my 911 a year out of residency. It only made me more popular amongst my colleagues. It really showed me how many of them were car guys and helped me make new friends. I am sure some were jealous, but **** them.

Unfortunately. This thread's fate wasn't too bright.

Suzy, I love this color, but the PTS guide shows color code Y97 as Silberstein/Silver Stone. Do you know which is correct?

it's Slate Gray or Schiefergrau (615, 6401, 6601, 6801). The guy in Geneva told me one of those code. It's close but a little bit lighter than the graphite of the 911-50.

OK. I have to ask......what medical school are you enrolled in? I drive my 911/50 to the hospital. The chief of plastic surgery drives his 2010 911TT to work. One of the surgeons I work with has a Ferrari that he never brings to the hospital.....he drives his beater.....an ML63 AMG.

Pun intended? Yes, would have been nice to see some more photos.
