Does anyone have 21" wheels on their C4?
If you do, can you tell me how the ride quality was compromised?
I'm convinced with the look but I don't want to severely compromise ride quality.
Your input is greatly appreciated.
I'm specifically looking for input from those who have driven or are currently driving on 21" wheels.
Thanks!!1

Really, 1" difference makes something ghetto...
I never really asked for an opinion regarding what you think is or is not ghetto.
I specifically asked for ride quality.
Thanks for your $0.02 anyway.

Different thread on this forum. 21" HRE looks awesome. FAR from ghetto. I do imagine ride quality to be compromised though. Rubber sidewalls will be very slim essentially almost like solid rubber bands.

if you spend a lot of time on expressway then it probably won't be too terrible. if you hit a pothole, you're going to really feel it (probably in the wallet too). like someone already mentioned, your sidewall is going to be really thin. i usually subscribe to the notion that i would only go with sizes that the manufacturer offers (19 & 20) and in this case, i would advise against 21". i think the tradeoff for aesthetics (that are subjective and incremental as they really are not that much more wow to go to 21 from 20) against ride quality make it really tough to suggest anything larger than 20

blunt yet completely accurate. truthfully, if you want a show car, which OP may want, then hey, thats your prerogative. with any car that is already a niche product, any modification will tread that very fine line of tasteful and "ghetto". i agree that 21" tips you to the hood. but thats my opinion as well. ultimately, do what you want! its like asking the waiter what they recommend/like...who gives a &#$@. if it makes you happy, do it. just know that the ride quality is not going to be what you signed up for originally

Back in the day....I once had 19's on my first generation Audi TT that came with 17's. In just six months, I'd had to have 3 of the wheels straightened, replaced one, and went through so many tires I had Discount Tire on speed dial.
Don't do it.
It will take away the sublime mix of ride/handling that's been carefully engineered in, and I'm of the "looks silly" camp too. Sorry.
