Thought I would share this with members - I did a search a while ago and I couldn't find any info on whether the Boxster 17 inch spare wheel would fit a 991 as it did fit my 997. I finally jacked up my car (2014 911 Carrera), put it on the front and tightened 3 lugs down. It just barely clears the caliper but it does clear and spin freely. The spare is about 2 inches shorter than my 20 inch wheel/tire that I took off so expect it to sit at least an inch lower. Should work to get me where I'm going in a jam if I don't go too fast. Not sure if it would clear S or 4/4S caliper but it clears on a base Carrera. Pic:

What if you need to replace the rear? Can you take off the front, put it on the rear, and use the spare on the front? This is how ya do it in the 993, for example.

Great to know. I have my old boxster spare in the garage and was wondering if it would fit my 991c2.
