Coolant Temp Question

Coolant Temp Question
Hi All:
I've been enjoying this forum quietly since acquiring a 991 C2 Coupe as a Black Friday special back in November. Still breaking in at about 1200 miles so far. I usually have the temp info numbers up on the display while driving and I'm curious if 194 is the max temp for the coolant. I've never seen it higher and I seem to recall most cars are designed to 200-220. I also see mileage looking a bit low, but its mostly around town driving so far so that may be the culprit. Maybe I'll see it climb once the weather warms and once its broken in and I can drive it harder?
Thanks!

And once you do, you will notice that there is a difference between Normal and Sport (and Sport Plus) modes on coolant temp. ~200 in sport, ~225 in Normal.

FWIW my coolant has never gone about 194 F. ever regardless of what mode it's in. Normal, Sport or Sport Plus. I'd actually prefer to watch it perform as opposed to just sitting there at 194 after it warms up in the idiot "the temp is ok" reading. OF course perhaps there is a function I could select to make it operate otherwise. Have never looked. C2S.
If we are talking about oil temp. that moves around all the time. Before my 10k mile oil change it would creep up as high as 230 on the freeway in 7th gear in non sport mode. (PDK) car.
The interesting thing that I've noticed right after the oil change is the oil temp now stays on average 10-15 deg. lower than before. Now it usually sits at coolant temp or slightly about at 205. Makes me wonder if the oil should be changed at more frequent intervals than what's recommended by Porsche. Theory is that the oil filter was fairly used by the time I brought the car in to the dealership at exactly 9,980 miles. Or perhaps the viscosity of that 0-40 Mobil One really broke down within that mileage. Service writer said everything looked good, no updates needed (May-June) 2013 build) and said see you at 20,000 miles.
Sorry for the oil temp tangent.
