Default Telephone module with iPhone - worth it?

Anyone using the Telephone module with an iPhone? Is the option worth getting for someone with an iPhone?

The Porsche cordless handset is around $600 - thoughts on getting that?

Trying to spec a car is maddening

Why bother when you have Bluetooth? Seems like outdated technology..

As I understand it, the telephone module uses the Bluetooth rSAP protocol to use the phone's SIM card with the module's electronics/antenna to provide better connectivity than the phone can provide on its own. But I also understand that the iPhone does not support the rSAP protocol, so that the iPhone can't take advantage of that capability.

Given that, I would also not bother with the cordless handset, and would instead invest in a quality Bluetooth headset (I highly recommend the Jawbone Era 2 with portable charging case) that would be useful in and out of the vehicle. Yes, you could just use the car's base Bluetooth gear, but the Jawbone's noise cancellation if phenomenal.
