Default New member here, ordered my first Porsche. Just saying hi!

Hey guys,

I wanted to introduce myself by telling you all I ordered my first Porsche this week! I am coming from a bunch of BMW's the last 10 years including a 335, E46 M3, and 2 E92 M3's. I'm super excited about it and after one test drive I was sold.

Here are the main specs on the car:

2014 Carrera S - 7MT
Guards Red
Black 18 Way Adaptive Sport Seats
Carrera Classic Wheels
PSE
PASM
PDLS
Sport Chrono
Bose
SportDesign Steering Wheel
Premium Package
Seat Ventilation
Red Seatbelts (I love the color red)
Porsche Crest on the seats
Wheel Center Caps with Colored Crests

I am beyond excited to join the community here and look forward to learning a lot about my first Porsche from all of you. My car is scheduled to complete delivery on March 28 and get here by mid/late April. Does anyone have a way to make the next 90 days go by extremely quick??

I used Paul Miller Porsche in NJ. Norman Mandell was my salesguy there. He has been doing it since 1983 and helped me spec out my car and gave me the best deal out of a few dealers I looked into. I highly recommend Norman if you are in the tri-state area.

That's all for now. Thanks for all of the future help!

Welcome to the list and P-World! That's a great build. It will show up with the better weather.

That sounds great. The wait is long and them you will realize you have to drive carefully for 2000 miles which is nearly as bad, except you get the car just can't fully enjoy. What color interior and full leather?

Awesome! Just a question, but why not sport design front bumper?

Sounds great - congratulations! You'll just have to burn a lot of time snooping around this forum while you wait.

That's a good question. I guess I don't know would be my answer. I wanted to keep it pretty basic for my first go-around with only the options I wanted. If I fall in love with the brand (which seems like it's hard not to do) I will then get crazy next with a GT3 or a Turbo.

Go Nova!

Welcome aboard, Patrick. You're color choice and options make for quite an awesome machine. Until your baby does arrive, there are plenty of videos and articles floating around the web that will help keep you busy.

I also purchased two 991s from Paul Miller and both experiences were uplifting. Are you far from Rockland county NY? If not, you should visit one of our Friday-evening car shows in Pearl River.

Best of luck!

Congrats and great build! You will love the car (I also came from an M3). I also got mine from Norman Mandell at Paul Miller. Not only is he a pleasure to deal with, but he's a true Porsche enthusiast and knows the car inside and out. Can't wait to see pics.

Congratulations! They're beautiful cars and a ton of fun.
And so are those M3's that you used to own :P
