Roof Transport System: One Man Job?

Roof Transport System: One Man Job?
Just wondering how tough it is to install and remove the roof transport system by yourself without damaging the roof with scratches and dings.
Anyone try this? How did it go?

Very easy. Ordered mine with the car and it was delivered attached. The *** clowns in Germany wedged them into the backseat so there are permanent indents in the plastic and the *** clowns at the dealer tightened the small Allen screws with air tools but it's a simple one man job to install and remove. What you're carrying up top may be a different story though.

Thanks, all, that's very good to know. I didn't order it with the car, but can see getting it in the not too distant future.

I haven't carried anything significant on it yet but it will eventually have a Yakima basket with my track wheels and tires. Maybe the kids on longer trips.

Are your kids strong enough to hold on on the freeway?!?

I find 2 Yakima baskets work better - one for the track wheels/tires, and one left at home to hold the kids for the w/e while you're away!
