Hang in there, I feel your pain. Had some of my wife's family in for the holidays so mainly driving her SUV around. Was looking for any excuse to take my car out for even a quick errand. Was really missing it.

I hear ya!! I haven't driven mine since Christmas Eve. Since then, I've been on vacation, then came back to 2 storms, 12" plus each.

In them meantime, we've had several days of below 0 temps, so the snow hasn't gone anywhere, and every road is covered with a sheet of ice.

If FedEx ever gets off their a$$es, I have a set of winter tires and wheels on the way. They've been stuck in NJ since Monday.

In the past, I've always driven my 911s through the winter. With the new 991, I decided I would not get winter wheels and snows. Generally in Colorado we have plenty of nice weather in the winter, so I don't have to go too long without a "fix."
The last couple weeks have been tough weather-wise though. One thing that does help...I picked up a 2009 Cayenne Turbo S last week, and while it is certainly not the same, 550 Porsche horses have a very positive effect on my mood!

This exact feeling led me to trading in my 2012 C2S and 2013 S4, so that I can drive my soon to be delivered 2014 C4S all year round

The winter wait can be tough, but delivery wait is even worse!

This is the way to go. Even a C2 with good winter tires will work!

I got wheels and snows for my C2Cab, but haven't driven it for 13 days. It was so nice then that I washed it after taking it for a good spin. It's been nothing but snow and frigid cold here in Chicagoland since then that I couldn't bear to take it out. This weekend it's supposed to warm up and I will take advantage. It was so warm today, that I actually ran outside! I would say between the snow and the cold that the last 10 days have been the worst weather I have experienced in Chicago in my 25 years here.

I know i could/should buy winter wheels/tires but the quantity of rocks there is on our roads in Canada at this time of year is terrible...and, even if my car has full clear protection, it drives me crazy to hear all the rock hitting fenders, etc...and the salt....

Also, altough its painful for now, it keeps the "specialness" of the car for me for spring and summer..i dont want it to be a year round daily driver....if i ever have enough coin for another more special car, maybe id go for c4/c4s some day as a daily driver...

Get the tires. If you don't use it, it isn't worth having.
These cars are fun, even in the winter.

I drove mine yesterday for the 1st time since Christmas Eve. I drove it to work, to put the winter tires/wheels on.

It was a nightmare getting out of my parking spot, around the building, and into the warehouse. Getting back to my parking spot was a totally different experience.

911 with snow tires on snow packed roads is indeed and incredible amount of fun!
