Default Another Christmas present

It's nice to post something after a long time lurking.

After months of planning and secrecy, I presented my wife her new 2013 C4S coupe on Christmas morning. It was a complete surprise and she was blown away. After she got over the shock, we went for a 50 miles jaunt on some twisty 2-lane empty roads here in WNC and it was a blast (of course).

My wife had a 944 about 20 years ago and has never stopped wishing for another Porsche. She had her eye on a Cayman, but I really wanted the 4WD for mountain and winter driving, so the 911 became the target. I found one in the right color and configured how I wanted from a dealer in Chapel Hill. The buying process was smooth, up until the delivery to WNC - which was a debacle. Another story for another day.

The bottom line is the car is great, my wife is ecstatic, and she says I can drive it whenever I want :-). It's going to be her weekday DD, so maybe the weekends can be mine! Happy wives lead to happy husbands. Picture of happy wife attached.

Congratulations to both of you...regarding the delivery story, I'm sure it was a b**tch for Santa to get that down the chimney!

Clear side markers for valentine's day!

Thanks to all for the well wishes. The major options are PDK, PSE, SC, PASM, 14-way all-leather seats, and a number of lessor ones. The color is Agate Gray Metallic (my wife's favorite) with black interior. It's really pretty. The only option I wish it had was F&R Park Assist - my wife parks in a number of different parking garages for work and she likes this option on her previous DD (Lexus GS350). She's just gonna have to learn to park by "feel" (let's hope not!). Anyone know if PA can be retrofitted? I doubt it, but thought one or more RL'ers might know the definitive answer.

Nice gift.

Not an OEM factory product.
