Default Sport exhaust is a must option.

I test drove both a 2014 C2S with a sport exhaust and sport chrono and a 2010 turbo with PDK.
Coming from owning an Ariel Atom for 6 years, a car which stimulates every sense in your body, I was quite disappointed in the Porsche Turbo.
Don't get me wrong it was light speed fast, probably faster than my Atom, but it was really quiet and did not stimulate the ears like the C2S with the sport exhaust.
The sounds you get in the C2S from pushing the sport plus button and from the sport exhaust is simply intoxicating.
I'm very surprised that the sport exhaust option is so rarely ticked off, at least on the stock dealer vehicles.
In my opinion it's a must.

The PSE does sound great but IMHO it should also add some power. I have never heard of exhaust upgrade that doesn't.......?

Porsche is just very conservative.

Turbos always sound pretty tame unless major exhaust changes made like bypass for example. I can always spot a Porsche Turbo on the track at a DE from their sound.

Sure, but if you go to the trouble and expense of engineering a "Sport" exhaust wouldn't you want it to actually preform better?
Nevermind..............

It does, and that's why Porsche uses it in conjunction with the PowerKit. And it does "perform better" since it sounds better. Not all performance is limited torque and 0-60 times. Some of is tactile and auditory.

Oh, like playing cars in the spokes....................

I'll go along with the Tac & Aud. theory if at least it's lighter, otherwise, not so much.

take a drive in an open cabrio with the sport exhaust - absolute bliss. It just wraps itself all over you in burbling ecstasy. hehe, too much fun.

Totallly agreed. Pressing the sport button transforms the car form a quiet comfortable GT that I used to commute to work everyday to a beast. Especially when I take it pass 6000rpm.

+1. PSE is a must-have, in my view. PSE + Sport Chrono (rev matching) + 7MT = driving heaven.

I have an X51 equipped Cabriolet and put the top down every chance I can to hear the music from the exhaust. Way better than satellite radio!

+2 !

If you want even more sound you can add Sharkwerks side pipes to the above setup - it's pure ecstasy on 3rd to 2nd downshifts in sport plus!

ON that note has anyone asked their dealer if our cars can be programmed to be in Sport mode with the PSE on at start up default?

The first thing I do after letting the coolant car warm up to 194 deg. F is hit the Sport mode. The only time I turn off the PSE is if I'm passing a cop or pulling into my neighborhood late at night.
