Yes, only the dealer or your salesperson has access to it, but mine was especially patient and attentive to my constant pestering so would send me updates about its status. Once your order is completed and on its way from Stuttgart to Emden they should be able to get the name of the vessel it will be loaded on, which you can then track using marinetraffic.com

As an interesting sidenote, I recently visited my dealer to get an invoice order for my loan and while we were talking car stuff I learned that dealer allotments are specific to the model type: For example our dealer will be getting 4 Macan S allotments and 2 Macan Turbos for initial ordering in march. So I guess if 3 people wanted a Macan Turbo, 1 would either have to wait or they would trade with another dealership an S (or other model type) for a Turbo allocation. I've learned more about Porsche and how car companies in general work in the last 6 months of waiting then in the 20+ years I've been driving lol (most of it from here!).

I was able to order mine to take the place of a slot that the dealer already had, so I ordered on April 4 and my car was built April 24. I then took delivery at the factory on May 22. Overall not that long of a wait.
+1

V999 Retail Delivery reported

I do believe the deviated stitching is what set me back. Well, that added a week (if that's what is meant by "CT-assembly"), plus I suspect the dealer didn't have an allocation, so that was probably about a 3 week hit. Not the end of the world in the scheme of things.

The funny thing is I wanted mine to be delivered in January for tax purposes! Glad it's here as the last week of driving has been great. Yours will be here soon and the waiting won't even be remembered.
