I put a Clear-Plex film on the outside of my windshield, it has saved me from several big chips for sure. You can find various threads on Clear Plex on this forum, special offers from time to time as well. Not affiliated, just satisfied with the product. I had an expensive ceramic clear UV film put on the inside of my windshield to help keep heat out and want to avoid changing the windshield as long as possible.

Just had mine done on my 997.1 C2S. Dealer (Brumos) recommended the shop and they did a first rate job. 100% coverage by State Farm here in FL.

Installer (S&L/Gerber) in Jacksonville did a great job, at my house. Let me watch and help! OEM glass and almost 2 1/2 hours start to finish.

It is not an easy job and absolutely requires someone who "knows". Clearplex going on the new WS.
