Now, I am an easy going guy so I laugh it off but I wonder what in the world he could be thinking. Then, after "thinking" he swiped my trade (I happen to know the wholesaler personally) he tries to get me to pay extra for some "custom paint" on the car (very small stuff-diffuser,mirrors, etc.) by telling me he is "giving" me the tint. This was all after the deal was negotiated. After hearing about how I "should be ok with this because I am a businessman" (apparently he figured that out by my shorts and t-shirt?) I offered to pay $1000 because I truly saw that value. He throws up his hands and starts whining loudly to his GSM that he doesn't want any part of the deal and they should give the file to someone else because somehow the owner of the dealership might think he is in some sort of collusion with me. Bear in mind that I am smirking and truly getting a laugh inside at this side show. Had it not been so off the charts silly I would have left but I found it truly entertaining, and frankly, I had nothing better to do. Finally, he concedes that he will do the paperwork because it is at least a "unit". At that point I smile and say "that's the spirit". Hahahaha. Being a long time BMW guy having bought 2 M cars in the last 6 months and 3 other BMWs in 18 months with STELLAR experiences, I cannot tell you how shocked I was at how I was treated. Not to mention that earlier in the day I asked the "old" F&I guy about financing and he told me that he has done this for so long and knew that Porsche would come back with probably a 12% rate or best case 8+%-REALLY? To test this I went to another dealer and had ta deal submitted an by the grace of the finance gods I was instantly approved at 6%.

Long story short, I bought the car, hated the deal with the finance so I paid it off with the second payment.

To add to the comedy, the sales guy must have called me "bro" a minimum of 20 times (no exaggeration) and several times I was nicknamed "money" just for good measure. As in "Yo bro check this out"..."Money, money..this is the way to go."

REALLY Porsche?
Man, that is terrible. I've been to both Atlanta Porsche Dealers and have been treated with great respect by both of them.

Mine acted like he wasn't sure if I could afford the car at first. I thought that was cool because I was thinking the same thing. lol Ah empathy. Good times. I crack myself up.

I find that dealers don't like the lowly nickle and dimers like myself. Because I'm trying to buy a 100K toy, they think I shouldn't have the right to negotiate for a grand here and there. What makes it worse is that they know that the next guy in the dealership is a baller who won't care about saving a dime on the car...

I found that dealing with a smaller dealership in a small town worked for me. They were attentive and willing to provide a good price and service. The larger stores within 20-30 miles of the large city in this region were not as eager to make a sale and, with one exception porsche of bucks county, frankly suck as service providers.

At one it was GREAT. In fact, I tried very hard to by a car form them but they couldn't get what I wanted. I have this "instant gratification" thing-ordering will not do-ha! I was quite shocked but I had fun with it.

With you brother. I have said it many times...I don't do "wait" very well at all. That is the reason I am getting a launch TTS.

hahaha! I hear ya! I ordered two M6s then I ended up buying the 991. By the time they got there I was already "over" them. Those dang TTS have already started to hit here. It has taken every ounce of strength in me not to pull the trigger-yet!
