Default What Grey is this 991?

Is this Agate grey or some PTS ?

I ask because everytime I have seen Agate in the sun, it looks brown to my eyes at least in person. (But then again, I have trouble with color anyways )

This one looks grey, period with greyish blue in the closeup of the crest..

Definitely agate. Brown tint is best seen in the first image.

Does not look like agathe gray to me, but it is a color that changes a lot with light.

here is mine

Your first pict looks like Agathe Gray, others do not, but might be the bright skyes being reflected off the car.

Agate Grey Metallic can look brown to blue depending on the sunlight, cloud cover, angle of the sun, camera exposure, etc... I don't think those pictures are enough to declare it PTS, in my humble opinion.

Edit - why not contact the Classic Car Club of Manhattan and ask them?

Edit again - I just emailed them. We'll see if they can settle it!

Can't stop editing - here's mine looking decidedly non-brown one day:

Got a response from Zac at Classic Car Club Manhattan: "Without digging deeper, I would say it's definitely a stock color and probably the Agate Grey Metallic you mention... it's not something we custom ordered."

I think this is just a color that varies a ton depending on conditions. Same with the Aqua blue metallic.

All the pics are of the same car, but after looking at your sky reflection pic, it may just be Agate.

Looks like Agate to me, too. And, with a really awesome polish on it, as well.

Definitely not Atlas Gray... because, for some reason, Atlas is not available on any 991, EVEN as PTS... which is a crime.

My agate definitely looks different in all sorts of light. I find that when it's well polished it really takes on color from its environment, sun, sky etc. and can look anywhere from a cool grey to a brownish grey.

Agreed that it's Agate Grey. It has a brown hue in certain light.

Great pictures and beautiful car!

I also ordered Agate grey but I did not know it has a tendency to look brownish.. I hope not too often.. because I am not into brown at all. Seeing all those pictures though, I am even more excited about my color choice

Absolutely gorgeous!! Wish it looked like that in all lighting. If so, that color would be sitting in my garage!!
