Darren, I thought you already had a bunch of intake and exhaust work done to your car? Were you bone stock before the tune?

Had Fabspeed side mufflers and their intake added but after the intake threw CELs, had them return it to stock air intake with BMC filters.

Other than the side mufflers, I was bone stock before the tune. My major gripe with the car was the lack of low to mid range torque and what I felt to be delayed throttle response. The tune fixed my gripes.

I agree with you Hudyman, but based on Carrerapete's reaction, I expect the tune to cost more than the normal $1,000-$1,500 charge. So I added another grand to my WAG.

Sorry for the delay, guys. And please don't think I'm a penny-pincher. Believe me, when it comes to mods, I'm not. I just thought $2,299.00 is a little steep, especially when there's no dyno involved.

I'm also used to data-logging after installing a flash-tune and working with the tuner to fine-tune; there always seems to be room for improvement because of the variables with each car.

But I'm not ruling this out as of yet. If everyone does happen to see a 20-HP increase at the wheels with this tune, then it may be worth the price to some of us.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The Fabspeed website lists 997 ECU tune @ $1400. Looks to be ~5% (16hp) performance increase. $87.5 / 1 HP.

The more I read about this tune, the more skeptical I am. I just did the 991 Fabspeed x-pipe race exhaust to get 20-25 more HP... I doubt the tune will give me another 25 HP on top of that!?

If it sounds too good to be true.....

+1

Further, these guys don't appear to be in the premier league of tuners in the UK and here it will invalidate your warranty
