I love how this forum became a MT unite call, haha. Mine is on order too. C2S with MT. Drove both PDK and manual. Both are great, but as mentioned, a different kind of experience.

It would make zero sense to get an MT on a turbo. You would spend half your 0-100 time with the power train uncoupled.

Congrats as well. I'm also waiting to pick up my first Porsche. I have a Black C2 with 20" Black wheels on order since 7/14. After nearly 3 months, the cargo ship carrying my car has finally come to Port, so I should be able to pick up my C2 at the dealership in the next week or so.

Explorer7 is right, the waiting is the hardest thing. However, its worth it when the day comes and you can finally go and pick up your brand new ride.....I'm looking forward to that day myself

Congrats on joining the Porsche family. I remember my first Porsche, it was a 1971 911T. Nothing is as memorable as your "first". The choice of manual was also great. It has a very sweet shifter with short throws. Enjoy!

Starting with "IMO" may help to not offend folks that enjoy the personal interaction of shifting for themselves.
The lack of truth in the second sentence validates the behavior of the first.

Of course IMHO. : D

If you rode with my wife when she feels like driving... trust me, you would think twice about letting her drive your car. Not because she drives like s**t, but because she'd out drive you and make you look like a newbie in a MT!!

Hey everyone,

I just got word from the dealer on my dates. They pulled some strings and got me a November build date vice December.

Here are the dates from the dealer:

11/15/13 Actual production begins
11/22/13 Car exits production
12/6/13 Car scheduled to be on transport ship and leaving Port of Emden
12/26/13 Car scheduled to arrive in port at Davisville, RI
1/10/14 Car scheduled to arrive at Porsche of the Main Line

My B-Day is right around the time of the delivery date.

...It's going to be one HELL of a B-Day present!!!
