Bad gas. Chevron by the way is no better than any other gas. Just pick a station that looks well run, clean, and does not have those red, failed state inspection stickers on the pump. Glad your machine is in good shape after that situation.

I read some other posts of people with problems getting their cars to turn on after spirited drive, they think it could be a problem on the high pressure fuel pump, a problem very well documented on the early direct injection BMWs, I wonder if Porsche changed suppliers for the pump from the 997.2 to the 991 and now is having some problems. Low fuel pressure on direct injected engines would cause all these symptoms too.

Is bad gas really as much a problem as dealers make it out to be? (knock on wood). I always thought this was a holdover from the 70s or something and is usually used as an excuse by dealers who are too lazy/busy/incompetent to diagnose a real problem. But then again....
