Another new member - Newport Beach, California
Hi everyone - happy to have just joined this forum. I did a build to order at the dealership I used here in southern Cal (Walters Porsche in Riverside). Picked-up my Carrera at the end of June. What a fantastic machine. Don't know a better way to sum it up than that.
Some pics are attached - sorry for the crappy quality (taken from my cell phone).
Looking forward to being a member of this forum. Anyone from the Newport Beach area on here?
Build Sheet:
911 Carrera
Black
Black standard interior
PDK
Porsche Dynamic Light System
Park Assist (front and rear)
Power steering plus
Electric folding mirrors
Online services
Power sport seats - 14 way
BOSE audio
Premium package plus
20 inch SportTechno wheels
Clear glass tail lights

Thanks very much. The 991's look pretty phenomenal in nearly every color I've seen them in, so it's hard to go wrong My last car was red, and am liking the more understated look that the black offers - as understated as a 991 can be I suppose
I gave my only good DLSR camera to a family member, so once I can find a decent camera will definitely take some more shots.
Really loving this car so far. The perfect balance between performance and yet being pretty comfortable as well. Very happy so far and finding it hard to imagine how Porsche could improve on this - although I'm sure they will.
Considered the S, but honestly driving both models I couldn't really distinguish any major power differences between them. Maybe it's just me, I dunno. So instead I used that $$ for the non-S with nicer wheels and extra creature comforts.

Nice car! I like the look of the clear tail lights on the black car - can't really do it on my car because of the light bar. It does however, make it more urgent that you put the clear side markers on!
Enjoy, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm really liking the look of the clear tail lights with the black too. A nice clean look. I didn't even realize one could order clear side markers Can they be ordered from Porsche or are they third party?

I got mine from Suncoast Parts. Takes just a few minutes to swap out - easy upgrade.

That looks nice. I thought the red tail lights looked good on black but your looks even better.
Buy form Suncoast they are a good company.
I would also look for some black out tape for the red lower lights. Someone posted a pic of that and it goes real good with the clear tail lights

Do you mean the red lower rear reflectors? I agree. You can buy painted exterior color reflectors from BumperPlugs. This will be my 2nd mod when my car arrives in March. The first one being clear corners up front.
