Just bought a 2012 over the phone with 850 miles. Original sticker was 114k and asking was 94,000. Dealer was good to deal over the phone and got the car at the price I wanted.
I'm waiting for the sales guy to send a pic of the original window sticker so I can post it up here.
5 months of research and building different variations on the website, test driving 5 of them, I finally made a purchase I am thrilled about. First choice wasn't PDK but after driving the 7 speed, I realized it's great but not comfortable. I'm not looking to kill myself or pedestrians on town roads.
The full leather was a must-have in the beginning until actually seeing the non-leather dash. Non-leather was really nice and I didn't care if the car had it or not.
Asked a buddy about his MB sl550, and if it was worth getting a convertible. He said absolutely must have.
I'm coming out of a 2003 MB clk500 that I owned for the past 10 years putting on 120k miles. It was time to upgrade....upgrade huge!
I'm looking forward to reading and contributing to the forum as I had on MBworld!

thank you all for the welcoming words....I hate this forum already ![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I canceled the deposit after reading countless threads on PDK issues and regrets not getting a c2s. I just put a deposit instead on a 2012 C2s cab certified pre-owned and paid the extra $10k and got it in the 7M!
OMG i have to stop analyzing....paralysis from analysis. I'm happy with the purchase, and asked them about installation cost for PSE...uhhhggg...you guys are costing me $$$$.
I'll keep you posted on when I get financing and seal the deal. No more reading the forum until I sign and it's a done deal.

Welcome:
Whatever posts you are reading about 991 PDK issues is at best fairly isolated and at worst covered by a warranty. We have had 3 automatics prior to the PDK 991. I can say I never had one engine/tranny issue in any of them. Sold the 997 with 50K miles. Tires/Oil/Tune/Brakes & repeat.
Part of moving up to the 991 was the PDK. Our thinking was the $$ delta and looks of a PDK 997 was too close to what we already had.
S or Non S, that's personal. I was looking for a optioned non S, and happened to find what we/I wanted in a S. If there was a true "blind test", only a VERY small percentage of Rennlister's could tell what car they were in, and a smaller percentage could actually use that difference on the track. Take off the rear badging, add spacers and from the rear they are very hard to tell apart.
This is my second PSE car. It is a cool option. Non PSE cars often get "gundo hacked" when the warranty expires.
Whatever 991 variant you buy, you can't go wrong......... & it won't be your last 911. You can never shake the disease.
What till you "have to" go Old School Air Cooled !!
