Default Sport Spoiler Lip For The 991

Has anyone done this?

How do you install it? Does the bumper need to be pulled. Could the spoiler be painted? Will it give us 5 extra but dyno HP?

Thanks.

That looks nice.

Well, my car came with the S front spoiler & just looking under it appears to snap into place underneath with a few plastic pop-rivet looking things...
...I've thought about painting it, also.
Has anyone painted theirs?

Remove the one now on the car, snap the sport spoiler on- no hardware is needed as the fasteners are cast in. It can be painted. It adds some spoiler effect on the straights and makes it easier to spoil on the driveways.

As mentioned by others, it can be pulled of without removing 4 screws (2 metals, 2 plastics) that holds the rubber piece underneath that lip.
Just to be sure when you put them back, the rubber piece able to lock back into the bumper itself which I find it hard by not removing those 4 screws.

no need to remove the plugs and screws. Just pull it down and outward. Just that simple.

Stock! They actually have a nice shape to them. Painting them made the car look a good 2 inches lower!

I'm confused...
...just ran into the garage to double check on my car & they are painted completely, but don't look like that.
Is your car a C4?

Yes mine is a c4s. Didn't know they had different rockers thought it was just the front bumper that was a little different and he red light at the back.

Yes, they are...
...I actually was asking about them in another thread.
Can you please look sometime and let me know how & where they attach underneath?
I've not been able to see a C4 in real life, but in the pictures I thought they appear to bolt on underneath and are just flat extensions.

If the 991 C4 is like the 997 and 996, then the skirts are an integral part of the C4 body and not an add on part.
