2012 991 Carrera S on 18" ?
Please advice.
I would like to change for 18" because i would like to put a 25/64R18 Porsche Cup front and 30/68R18 Rear Slicks.
I tried up 18" but from the lower control arms i cannot put it up!
This inner barrell diameter is 44,7cm 17,598 inches. This is not enough.
Anyone heard about 18" which has a larger barrell diameter?
I miss another 1cm or 1,5cm..

If you search Rennlist, there are discussions of the problems of trying to go to 18s - clearances and issues with dynamic control software if I remember correctly.

I am using 19" with F430 Challenge Pirelli's.
I think if the Barrel of the Wheels is bigger than 44,7cm with like 1-1,5cm easily fit.
I had it in my hands.
I tried to search on the forums here but i could not find anything, therefore i opened a new topik.

There is no 18" barrel that will clear the suspension bits of the 991. I've looked at a bunch including the TE37 and the Advan TCIII which are noted for having really good clearance and none will work.

I kept my 997.2 like new snow tires mounted on 18 inch OZ rims in hopes of putting them on my 2013 991 S. You crushed my hopes.

Any update on this? If it's possible to get the clearance I would assume there would be a large market for 18" wheels. Maybe Champion can look into it.

What a shame bling has overtaken practicality in this respect for Porsche. Track tires are going to be a lot more expensive...

Theres a comparison on Elephant Racing’s site that shows how different the rear suspension is on a GT3 Cup car and what allows them to use 18” wheels.
