Hi All,
As a Cayman fan, I've never imagined that one day I will shift to 911 ... After my last trip to Germany and driving the new 911 s for couple of days, I started to have a chemistry with the new 911...
So finally I made my mind to buy a 911. So started to play with the Porsche configurator and configured different basalt black and Grey 911 s with red interior ...
Then I went to the Porsche agent and as expected they were having few basalt black 911 s with different options which never matched what I wanted. So the only option is to order and wait 6 months, which could be the worse 6 months of my life...
At night, I started to read couple of reviews online and found this photo on the web which changed my whole view about 911...
So I started to play again on Porsche configurator and this time configure racing yellow 911 s ...
Next day , I went to the agent and luckily found a racing yellow 911 on stock with black interior but wasn't S and had very basic options (PDK, Sport Chrono, partial leather, DVD changer, bi-Xenon, 19 inch wheels, ...). After reading many reviews online and opinions on the forum, I was ok to downgrade to the base model and forget about the luxury options, also the agent told that I could upgrade to PSE at $3,300.
So I made my mind, paid the downpayment and can't wait to drive it home in couple of days.

Amazing how many shades of yellow there are. IMHO if your are going to paint a car that kind of color, go whole hog. Pastel shades like 1967 Corvette and Jeep Wrangler yellow dont cut the mustard as compared to the brilliant yellows of the Defender 90, Diablo, BMW M3, and the 991 Porsche.
I like your color choice, we ordered the same thing.

Great wheels wrkinprgrs, I like the the color combination...My car comes with the stock 19 inch wheels and I'm a bit hesitant to upgrade to 20 inch as my car doesn't come with PASM.
Some pics of my car at the dealer..
