Default 2013 Porsche Boxster

One of the most rewarding sports cars on the market. Takes the lumpy roads like a duck to water. People will tell you the larger, more expensive 911 is better. We suggest you stop listening.

Great car and no one is taking anything away from that car. However, this is the 991 thread.

If you want a Boxster, buy a Boxster. If you want a 911, buy a 911. If you need to justify your purchase publicly, maybe you didn't make the right one.

I am NOT buying a Boxster. Just thought it was an interesting statement, but it appears that spreadsheets prevail......................

Just because some magazine wrote it doesn't mean that it's worth repeating. R&T ain't what it used to be...

I had a Boxter S (08). It was the best Porsche I ever owned, superior to my "classic" 911s. The new one is terrific. If I couldn't have a 991 I would get one!

No doubt the Boxster is a great car, looks fantastic and from the reviews it seems like a great drive. I can't fit in it comfortably, too tall. Also, I recently took 2 of my kids on a summer evening drive for pizza in the back of my new 991 Cab, they had a blast (they are only 4 and 6). I was cramped up front being taller --like I was driving a Boxster, but my kids were happy. Try that in a Boxster.

Best Porsche you ever owned other than your current 991?

This will undoubtedly keep the hacks busy for a while: why buy a Porsche when you can rule the streets for a fraction of the cost!
