How It's Made: Dream Cars

I agree with all of your examples, but the "silent e" gets drilled into people's heads in school. Obviously that rule isn't correct when applied to German, but I'm not surprised more people don't know that.
But if you don't like the dropped 'e'... I once got a parking ticket for parking my "Porch" (written that way) on the street. I suspect that particular officer's pronunciation would have been even more grating.
Now for extra credit, ask them to pronounce Huayra!
Some O/T personal pet peeves in terms of misspellings and misuses:
there / their / they're
to / too
your / you're
"literally"
"unique"
"my bad"
i before e, unless thier wrong about that.

loose / lose is the worst offender on the internets, in my opinion.
Back on topic: I watched the full (well, 22 minute) episode of the How It's Made and I really liked all the details about the painting process! National Geographic show was still better, but I feel like they each covered different parts of the process.
Still doesn't beat the actual factory tour I was on last month .

No my children... The ABSOLUTE worst offender has to be "stoled".

"Supposably"
"Simular" (found today in the other Porsche forum)
"Nucular" (Credit: JW Bush and Sarah Palin)
And someone posted "litterly" one of these forums yesterday. I told him to go back and pick up all that litter.

I'm bummed nobody jumped on my "makes me nauseous" post...
nauseated = when you feel sick (I'm feeling nauseated from that awful lunch)
nauseous = makes people sick (Kim Kardashian is nauseous)
while we're at it..."fora" is plural for "forum"
what was this thread about anyway?
