Default Any C2/C2S with snow tires?

I have a C4S on order but I am thinking of swapping it for the 50th Anniversary C2S model. The issue is, I am moving to Ottawa where the winter is long and with lots of snow/ice. I have heard that with the proper snow tires, the C2S can do very well on the snow. Are there anyone here that drive the C2S a lot in harsh winter conditions? I would love to hear your experiences, thanks!

I have driven a 997.1, 997.2 and now my 991 all winter with snow tires. The biggest worry is some fool with nearly bald dry tires going stupidly fast and sliding into you.

Yep. With proper snow tires a 2 wheel drive car is a snow TANK but the problem with winter driving is the OTHER driver's tires.

That's why I leave the P-car in the garage during most of the winter, a very capable AWD BTW, and drive a Chevy during the winter... it's the winter beater. If the Chevy gets creamed by some doof, who cares.

Also, the paint chipping rock/salt/slurry that comes flying up off the cinder covered roadway in the winter is HELL on nice paint... especially nice paint that is low to the ground like a 911.

Most common solution around here is a winter beater.

A 997.1 and 997.2 c2 was my daily driver for several years in the New York metro area. I drove the car just about every day in all weather, including heavy snow. The car with winter tires was outstanding in all conditions. Aside from ground clearance, I felt confident driving it in any weather.. The traction control almost never engaged. I'm sure the c4, which of course will also need winter tires would be even better. Overall, I found the c2 to truly be a great every day car.
