Try Rennline -- cool aluminum bracket that screws into the front bumper tow receiver.

I like it! But ultimately skene is the solution..

Went with the Skene bracket. Dealer installed on car delivery and even bent the bracket a little so the license plate and the bracket conform to the curve in the front bumper. Couldn't do a low mount as have the third cooler.

Tow hook solutions puts plate off center... Skene is the way to go IMO...

Anecdotal story. I live in California where the plate is required on the front of the car. I just won't do it. Too ugly, in my opinion. (I used to own a Mercedes and didn't put one on that car either, for years. Never got a ticket.) The other day (two weeks ago) I got pulled over in San Diego for speed. The cop, a Sergeant, was a good guy. He talked with me about how he would probably never own a Porsche, etc., but that I was moving too fast. I told him not to assume that thing about never owning a Porsche - he might surprise himself one day (I did). No ticket. And the whole time he was talking with me I was thinking, "please don't look at the front plate area." He didn't. I say take the risk.

By the way, as a side issue, I have talked my way out of many tickets. Here is my MO. 1) ALWAYS get out of the car. I think it is too easy for a cop to give you a ticket when he didn't look you in the eye. 2) ALWAYS smile. Same thing. It has got to be harder to give a ticket to someone who is friendly. 3) NEVER makes excuses. They have heard them all, and I suspect they believe none. 4) NEVER deny you were speeding. You may not want to admit it, but don't deny it. You are basically calling the cop a liar. Nine times out of ten it works.

Nope - won't work here in the east. They will shout you back into your car on the intercom.

I found out the hard way that the tow hook I bought (us millworks) doesn't just spin off if you have the sport design fascia. the whole easy remove was out the window. made my own for $5

I like it. Please share what you did. I have the sport design bumper and a tow hook on order. Maybe I should cancel it. I like the location of yours. Also, do you have parking sensors? If so, does it block them?

For those who feel police will tell you to get back in the car when you are pulled over, keep your registration and proof of insurance in the front trunk. They you have to get out of the car to obtain them.

check out http://www.usmillworks.com

I have it on my C2 and BWM. Beautiful. Tow hook application. Easy to remove when you want the perfect clean front look. I get comments about it all the time.

I mounted mine like this, much cleaner, had it professionally bent, then attached.
