I remember some threads around here where some of you all posted information about the exact ship your car was on so you kinda knew when to expect it. Can someone share this black magic with me?

OK, cool - so when I get an "on vessel" date, then I just have to assume that it's on whatever large cargo ship is in port at the time, and follow on the live ship map at marinetraffic.com.

So.... impatient....

Your dealer will give you the name of the ship your car is on so you can then track that specific ship. Mine went a couple of times for seven days each time between updating its position which was frustrating. I personally found the tracking to be worse (I'm guessing) than if I just tried to forget about the car and be surprised when the dealership called me to say it was in. Getting online to see where the ship is today can become borderline obsessing. Good luck!
