Parking outside -- a year in pics
#31
Very nice photo essay- temps me to do one as well but since I live in AZ, it will be hot and sunny, hot sunny with some rain and then hot, sunny and dusty. Still look forward to using it year round tho.

Thx guys. Thought these pics might put a smile on some of your faces.
On the dog pee, this is in a pretty pedestrian area, so I wouldn't rule out a dog (or two) having lifted his leg on it.
As far as washing question, I think i have a Meguiars shampoo. Seems to work fine. I am gearing up for a spring waxing (I think its been since August...).
Riley, do you have a 997 at the moment? Hard to keep up with your garage...

This really has nothing to do with parking outside, but the Faberge Egg comment made me think how true it is that the inside isn't either... Here is the car on dog transport.

I think you just gave half the members a mild heart attack with the dog pic.
Enjoy it and I'm really happy to see that some folks still keep it all in perspective.
Just a car - nothing more, nothing less..

Got me smiling....third Porsche for me and none have ever spent the night inside. I don't even wash it regularly, and forget the wheels...still have last years brake dust on them. The only time it gets washed is when at the dealer for service/warranty work. Oh yeah, platinum silver too. Previous car was macadamia 997, and it was never clean. Both still drive just as well as the washed and waxed...

Well, my wife totally agrees with your philosophy when I showed her this thread: she claims I'd sold too many "brand new" sport cars for too little (money and appreciation).
I told her I intend driving this one (991) and enjoying it. I'm really trying to adhere to that concept, but it ain't easy!

Car dryer?
I think I washed the car once since I posted this -- it is time for a cleaning.
I am curious if any of you use a dedicated blower to dry the car? I see these motorcycle fan drying contraptions, and have heard of folks using leaf blowers? I'd love to retire the chamois.

Check out Master Blaster for drying (I use after washing with de-ionized water)... Hardly need to use any MF towels... Perfection!

WOW!!! One of the coolest posts I've ever seen. Love the changing leaves pictures. You and your 991 seem like you're enjoying each other's company. Keep it up
